AWANA Bible Clubs
Main Street Baptist Church, Point Pleasant, WV
6:00-7:30p.m. on Wednesdays during the school year
AWANA is an acrostic meaning 'Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.' We are proud to offer
AWANA Bible Clubs at Main Street Baptist Church.
AWANA Bible Clubs is an exciting program of games, Bible memorization, singing,
accomplishment, and worship. Each evening's club meeting consists of three segments:
- Game Time. Children are divided into four teams and compete in games which build team
spirit, physical co-ordination, self confidence and good sportsmanship.
- Handbook Time. After passing requirements to enter their rank, and earning their
uniforms, clubbers begin work in their handbooks which are generally divided into four areas:
Bible drills, crafts, missions and patriotism or safety.
- Council Time. This is a time of singing, worship, Bible stories, and handing out awards.
We currently offer the following clubs, which will be meeting through the school year ending in
June:
- Cubbies, for boys and girls age 3 and 4.
- Sparkies, for boys and girls Kindergarten through grade 2.
- Truth 'n Training (TnT)for boys and girls in 3rd through 6th grade.
