God not only loves you, but desires that you should know abundant life. Jesus said, I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10).
The problem is that our sins have separated us from God and from the abundant life He would like us to experience. Romans 3:23 states, All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
God's answer to this problem was to send His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins. Romans 5:8 says it this way, But God commends His love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ dies for us.
Continuing in sin would result in death, eternally; but God offers the free gift of eternal life in Christ. Romans 6:23 says, For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
In order to turn to God we must repent of our sins. Repenting implies agreeing with God that you am a sinner, turning from your sins, and accepting God's gift of forgiveness and eternal life. Acts 3:19 says, Repent, therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.
Because Jesus suffered for you on the cross, He alone can lead you to eternal life. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man comes to the Father but by Me (John 14:6).
When you repent and receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord by trusting in Him for salvation, you become God's child. John 1:12 says it this way, But as many as received Him, to them he gave the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on His name.
Since Jesus is the way to salvation, you must, by faith, receive Him as your Savior. Revelation 3:20 says, Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
The Bible says That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved (Romans 10:9). If you would like to receive Christ and become a Christian, here is a suggested prayer you might pray to God:
